About MUM’S THE WORD

MUM’S THE WORD is a multi-dimensional container for my many thoughts and creative explorations. I won’t pretend to know exactly where this is going in the long run. One day it might be a web comic. Another day it might be a pop culture critique. Certainly, some days it will be my grief journal. Along the way I’ll be grappling with taboo topics and unpopular opinions. Regardless of where we end up, it’s going to be a hell of a journey. Won’t you join me?

Topics that you can likely expect to see covered on MUM’S THE WORD include:

  • Practical abolitionism and sustainable organizing praxis

  • Pain neuroscience and the harmfulness of pathologizing pain

  • The third white gender (non-binary) and respectability politics

  • Individualism vs. collectivism and the ever pervasive neoliberalism

  • Urgency culture, ableism, and the fabrication of “professionalism”

  • White wellness culture and appropriation of wisdom and ritual

  • Grief, loss, caregiving, and orphanhood

Much of my work will be available for free within this container, but some more intimate or laborious pieces will only be available to paid subscribers. If you are of means, privilege, and/or proximity to whiteness, I request that you join this space in a paid subscription capacity.
